Vault key & app ID - what do I put in?
Your vault key is the one secret you keep and reuse across apps. Make it strong.
An app ID is a stable identifier for the account you're
generating a passphrase for. We recommend a format like
app_name:user_id.

How do I sync my app ID history to another device?
- Open the app ID suggestion box and click Export.
- You'll get a URL - open it on the other device.
- This creates a pending import, which will be merged into the new device's local storage the next time you enter your vault key.
The export URL is encrypted with your vault key, so only someone who knows it can import the list.
